How To Maintain A Higher Fiber Diet

Fibre is a genuine nutrition question, not a marketing word. If a higher-fibre diet is the actual goal, the fastest read is a nutrition panel, not a phytoestrogen supplement or a superfruit story.

What the nutrition panel says about dried dates

A typical nutrition panel for whole dried dates lists somewhere around 6-8g of fibre per 100g, most of it insoluble. That number moves a little by variety and drying stage, but check the panel itself — not the marketing copy on the packet — whether it's Piarom, Mabroom, or Ajwa on the label.

Where dates fit next to other fibre sources

Whole fruit and vegetables with the skin on, legumes, and whole grains all land in a similar range or higher. Dates are useful because they're easy to eat as-is and keep well, not because they outperform every other fibre source — a mixed diet gets there faster than any single ingredient.

Whole fruit over juiced or powdered versions

Juicing or processing into powder strips out most of the fibre along with it, since fibre is largely in the flesh and skin that gets filtered out. Eating the whole date, seed removed, keeps the fibre; a juice or extract made from it mostly doesn't.

Sourcing whole dates by grade

Wholesale Kurma Shah Alam is where we source current stock. Our Piarom pricing guide and buying guide cover grade differences if fibre content by grade is the deciding factor.
